How to Top Your RGF Pie



Now that the beautiful fall season is here, it’s time to cozy up by the fire and enjoy some delicious hot chocolate and pie! Nothing soothes the soul like a warm bite of one of our many delectable pies. While our pies taste incredible on their own, adding a topping makes them "to die for."


Here we will share with you three of our favorite vegan gluten-free recipes for a vegan caramel sauce, vegan chocolate syrup, and vegan coconut chai whipped cream toppings!

Vegan Caramel Sauce

This vegan caramel sauce recipe is creamy, healthy, and easy to make. Not only that, but it pairs perfectly with any of our fruit, chocolate, and other pies!

Ingredients:

- 1 cup canned coconut milk - ¾ cup sugar (cane, organic brown, coconut, etc.) - ½ teaspoon salt

Directions: Set pot over medium heat. Add sugar and stir for one minute. Add coconut milk and milk, stir. Bring to boil. Once boiling, reduce to simmer. Let sit for 15 minutes.


Remove the pot and allow it to cool for 10 minutes. Then pour the sauce into a jar and place it in the fridge. Top the pie and enjoy!

Vegan Chocolate Syrup

This recipe is simple and results in a rich chocolate sauce that is vegan, gluten-free, and free of any additives. Making every bite melt in your mouth!

Ingredients: - ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder - ¾ cup coconut sugar - 1 cup water - 1 teaspoon vanilla

- ½ teaspoon salt

Directions: Set pot over a heat source and bring water to a boil. Add sugar and stir for one minute. Set to simmer and add in cocoa powder and salt. Stir for three minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir, and let cool, and then enjoy!


Vegan Coconut Chai Whipped Cream

An absolutely incredible tasting recipe that just requires a mixing bowl and a mixer (or use those muscles and whisk it out)! This whipped cream is perfect for any of our pies, especially our lemon and pumpkin!


Ingredients:

- 2 tbsp sugar

-1 tsp vanilla

- ¼ cup Tazo Chai organic latte

- 1 can Thai Kitchen coconut milk (chilled overnight)

Directions:

Grab a mixing bowl and add in coconut milk. Add in chai and mix on medium for four minutes. Add in vanilla and sugar and mix on high for four minutes. Top the pie and enjoy! (add cinnamon if desired)Topping your pie with a sauce or whipped cream is the perfect way to give it that extra kick of deliciousness.
